Painting for Peace - Children's competition

Rules for Children's Painting Competition

Free entry.

All entries must be on the “Peace” theme.

Paintings may be made in charcoal, crayons, felt pen, colour pencil, water or oil paints on an A4 sheet.

The deadline for submitting the entries is September 9, 2011.

Every participant gets a prize. The prizes will be given away to the children or their representatives at the Make Peace Festival on Saturday 17 th September 2011in George Square, Glasgow, starting at 11.00 . All children must be accompanied by a responsible adult.

The winning entries will receive special prizes. These prizes will be given to the paintings which best depict/picture “Peace”.

Entries can be submitted by children between the age of 5 and 12 years who are living in Scotland. Proof of age may be required for the winning entries.

Children with special needs will not have an age restriction.

All entries must be submitted prior to the deadline to Scottish CND, 15 Barrland Street, Glasgow, G41 1QH.

The name, age and school of the child and a parent/teacher/tutor name, address, phone number and e-mail (if appropriate) must be clearly mentioned on the back of the paint. Any entry without this information could be rejected.

Each child must submit one entry only.

The decision of the judges will be final and no discussion on this issue will be entertained. (Judges - Scottish CND).

None of the prizes will be redeemed or exchanged with money.

We will not send the prizes by post.

Paintings cannot be returned.

Family members of the judges are not allowed to participate to the competition
